I have noticed a lot of producers and engineers getting into beat making. This is great, beat loops have been in the top 40 for a while now. However, This is not something I would be wanting to make my career surrounding. I believe drum and bass, dubstep, techno, is just like everything else, a fad. Soon it will wean out and we will be listening to something different. 

If i built my career on looping beats what will I do when recording people and instruments are back in demand. It is important to keep with the times but to truly be impressive at what you do, you must learn all aspects of the career. In this case, I not only need to be involved in looping and creating beats. But I also need to loop into the future and know I must keep an open mind on all types of Music. 

I wonder what Music will be like in ten years. If it will be all made my a computer or if artists will rise again and bring new talent to our industry.
