Since my last blog i have completed chapter 4, 5, and 6. I have learnt a lot in these chapters. After chapter 5 Doug even showed me a bunch of the mics that are at noble street including almost all of the famous ones mentioned in the chapter. Very cool to see all of that. I'm excited to talk about and learn a lot about chapter 6 which is mic placement. I have done some recording myself and have played around a lot with mic placement but I can't wait to learn from Doug and see what kind of techniques he likes to use! I'm happy that I have finally gotten pro tools sent to me. I don't have it yet but I can't wait until I get it. I am still learning a bunch by observing sessions and I can't wait to be able to help out more! The other day at the studio there was a vocal session for a commercial which was an interesting change to music recording. I'm still learning a lot and I'm excited to learn even more!
