This week I did some recording in the studio. I also observed and helped with taking down a wall in a different studio than the one that my mentor owns. The building is being renovated, and the rooms are being expanded to make more space for equipment. At this studio, they record music, make posters, and brainstorm, as well as host live DJ concerts. At my mentor's studio, I learned that when recording, make sure your levels are good in the artist's headphones as well as your speakers. After recording vocal tracks, you should solo the tracks (the main vocals and ad-libs) to make sure you have a good level for all the vocals.
