So this last week or so I've begun my 6th chapter. I'm really getting into this gear talk in the book and my mentor. I think I've said this before but my gears are already turning in the direction of how I would use the gear and the info in the future. It is very exciting, and chapters 5 and 6 made all the sense in the world. I've been in and out of bands, music has been my life for 28 years. When I say that I mean it in the utmost literal sense. The information from books, liner notes, documentaries, music videos, and of course the albums that I've acquired over the years has lead me to the realm of gear and things that other bands use. So putting the terms, and names, and uses to them was like putting my hand in a glove. Class with Ira was short too, because it all made so much sense. Now I'm getting into mic placements in ch. 6, and so far its just as familiar. I'm having a blast.
