Hey, welcome to my first blog. Not exactly sure what to say but here it goes. I've been working/studying with Power Factory for the past month and I've learned A LOT!! First few days I mainly got to know the staff and all the gear in the warehouse. After that, they put me out on the field and put me on some small shows which allowed me to get a real taste of working with LIVE sound. As fun as it is once you finished setting everything up and give the audience the best possible experience, everything before and after that is not as easy as you may think.

Before a show and after a show we have to obvoiusly unload and load in and out of the truck into the warehouse and/ or from the event's location. That requires some physical requirement so if you don't wanna get your hands dirty this is not for you. Before and after a show we have to also check all the gear specially the speakers/subs and test them to see if the lows and the highs are working good. We also have to rearrenge some cables and mic stands and make sure they go in their proper location since some things may get mixed up after a show since everyone wants to hurry up and go home. Keeping everything organized is very important when it comes to live sound.Working in live sound, everything is very fast pace because you are trying to set everything up on time for the artist to do his sound check and be ready to perform when the time comes. That is why having everything organized and properly rolled cables is important so we don't waste time searching for something or trying to untangle a 100ft cable.

I have Attached a photo of one of the shows I was able to go on. On this show we used a line array system, monitors, sound board (LS9), microphones (both wired and wireless), lighting console, lights (LED Parcans, LED Lekos, moving head wash fixtures, moving head spots), video wall, lifts, and a few truss.
