Arriving I was excited to be a part of what Joe has going on at Miller st. Studios. He has a good attidude and makes you feel welcome as a student. On April 4th 2014th we had a studio session with a Rap Artisit named Levi. Levi was running a little late and Joe and me talked about the upcoming session and the expectations for the three hour session ahead. When Levi arrived it was nice for everyone to get strait to business. Levi explained what he wanted out of the session and Joe started to make it happen. After Levi was set up in the studio booth we began tracking overdubbing for a song Levi had recoreded during a previous session. Joe made an obvious effort to accomidate the various requests Levi and his featured artist Wally had, but did assert himeself when he was confident in his opinion on how the session should go. I respected the fact he was able to maintain a balance between being there "for the artist" while also giving direction as an experienced source of input and direction. I feel like thats the kind of approach several artists just starting out can really benefit from. Im looking forward to our next session and the new knowledge and experience its gonna offer. Rock and roll recording Connection students, this program is legit.
