Change is Scary Posted on 2017-10-10 by Elianne Nascimento

I am embarking on yet another scary but exciting transition in my life pursuing this certification. In Winter of 2015, I dropped out of law school to take my music profession more seriously and my gosh have I been so lucky since. I love my band and I love all the things we're doing. Performing with them and seeing first-hand what our hardwork has been accomplishing has been amazing.

Leaving law school was one of the scariest things I've ever done in my life. I felt like I let go of a security blanket and I had absolutely no clue what I was going to do. I had no job, no education to pursue, and no plans. Run Forrest Run, my band, gave me a whole new life and a whole new purpose. Not only do I get to do what I love, but I can pay my bills with my career. To also become a sound engineer - this is going to be a game changer.

I am proud to say that many degrees later, I am breaking the mold and living my life the way I want, and the way I think God intends for me to live. I'm happy.
