First Lesson and Recording Session 10/16/17 - Posted on 2017-10-18 by Scott Bresee

Monday, October 16th, 2017 was my first meeting with me mentor, Brad Puette.  Together we went through the Chapter 1 unit on Sound and Hearing. The material was very informative. I was especially drawn to the Hearing portion of the unit as it covered the anatomy of the human ear. The ear is an amazing tool to be used in the area of Audio Engineering and is to be protected at all times.  Following the teaching portion, I then took the chapter 1 Test. 

Following the completion of the Chapter 1 unit, Brad had asked me to remain at the studio to sit in on a recording session. The artist was a rap artist named Daniel. He needed to "touch up" and redo some vocal tracks for his project. I sat alongside of Brad and just observed not only Brad's skills at work on ProTools, but also the very good working relationship he has with the artist.  The session went very well and it has motivated that much more to make a career in this industry.   Excellent evening!
