I'm going to start this blog off by saying even only after lesson 2 i can already tell I'm going to love working in the studio and spending a lot of my time there. Although lesson 2 was not the most interesting it did provide a lot of information about electricity and the basics of electricity. After my lesson i stuck around the studio just to hang out and observe and absorb any knowledge i could. My mentor Dan had a artist coming in to have Dan mix and master a track for him. The guys name is Ronnie Diamond former lead singer and guitar player for the Ohio Players Club. it was cool to sit there and share that experience with someone who has had a platinum selling record. After the mixing and mastering were finished Dan,Ronnie and i went out on a lunch break. Coming back to the studio Dan tells me I'm more than welcome to hang out he has to help another couple artist on dropping a a few tracks. of course i stuck around to watch and learn. Kentay and his friend and hip-hop gospel artist. When i hear gospel i think of church music , but this was not the case. The music they made actually caught my attention. the music was full of positivity and very inspirational. While recording one of their songs "sin is a silent killa" they had one of their friends drop by the studio to check out the progress, it was defensive end for Ohio State Jamal Marcus. Being a born and raised Ohio boy I'm a big fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, so it was cool to meet one of the players. Dan and everybody i met at the studio that day mad me realize that i can achieve anything i want as long as I'm dedicated and keep working hard. So until I'm at the top I'm going to keep doing so.
