Lesson 4 Posted on 2014-05-15 by Brandon Griffith

In all honesty I had to read lesson 4 over and over to comprehend alot of what was being explained. I learned the process of a sound wave from a guitar to your speakers. The guitars pick ups are its vibrations. The microphone built into the guitar will then read those pick ups and send them through the guitar amplifier. Another microphone in from on the guitar amplifier will then pick up the sound and convert it into low level electrical voltage. That voltage is then put into a michophone preamp and turned from microphone level to line level. That signal is then fed to a ADC to turn the signal into digital audio so it can be proccesed through your protools. After yourn done in protools you save it and reroute the signal to a DAC then that signal is then back to analog binary code and able to hear through speakers. I would say lesson four was sucessful.
