In this lesson, we covered extensively the most frequent and important applications of equalization that are used in the studio. He showed me some very handy graphs and charts that cover the different frequency ranges of common and uncommon instruments and we went over the different types of EQs. The most important and knowledgable thing we went over in this particular lesson is the practice of using subtractive EQ rather than additive. Nothing should be added to the signal that could create unneccessary noise and EQ can do just that if done improperly.
