In this chapter we went over MIDI and the various applications that it can be used for. Jeff explained that Broadway shows use MIDI for automatic stage rearrangements and for fireworks shows, and I thought that they only used it for music and sampling and things like that. I showed him my MIDI assignment that I was working on and he showed me how to automate MIDI levels and how MIDI instrument tracks can be completely automated if desired.
