My mentor had me complete lessons 5 and 6 together in order to get Pro Tools ordered. The studio session was spent discussing microphone types. He suggested going to websites like Nuemann, Telefunkin, etc... to read about the microphones, thier history, etc... After that we spent time getting me more familiar with Pro Tools. We talked about setting up a template to begin mixing tracks that he has already given me. We will be working up from basic mixes to using plug ins like reverb, delay, compression, eq, etc.... I am super psyched to get started on this and to go back and work on some older recordings that I have and to record some new ones. Only one session in the studio this week due to my full time job, but next week will provide some additional time. Tuesday will be an actual recording day and I am excited to see that again.
