Introduction to Pro Tools: Full confession I did download Pro Tools and begin experimenting before I completed this lesson. Some was under supervision some was trial and error. I am now working on songs that have been provided to me by Rick my mentor. I have progressed to adding additional tracks for reverb and delay, master, mix, and mono tracks for the purposes of editing. I have begun editing songs. IE... removing unwated audio from the drum mics. Most notably the toms. There is lots of bleed over and I have been going through and cleaning up the section that are not actual tom hits. There is a lot to know but it gets a little easier every day that work with it. Speed is my achilles heel right now. I am working on being able to be precise but fast. Like most things in the studio, you need to be able to work quickly but efficiently to maximize the client's time and money. I have also bookmarked a page of keyboard shortcuts for protools as reference as those commands are much faster that a mouse in most cases.
