This week I had my lesson with my mentor which went great. On Friday I observed and assisted on an 8 hour band session with one of the engineers in the studio. It was an awesome experience to see how a band recording session is ran and setup. The band sounded great and it was really cool to hear some songs by a band I had never heard before.

This week was all about Tracking, we discussed the importance of all the pre-session work that needs to be done before the client comes in like knowing what kind of music will be recorded if possible, how many people will be recorded, which order to set up mics, where to place the people being recorded, etc...
