This week was my 5th session in the Recording Connection. The lesson was all about microphones, polarity patterns, frequency response etc. I really enjoyed this chapter a lot because whenever I woudl look at mics at places like guitar center I always over looked the things like Carioid Condenser, Figure 8 Ribbon, etc. Now I understand what all that means and really comes in handy when purchasing a mic. My mentor gave me a list of every single mic the studio has to start studying look, polarity pattern, style, frequency response, etc.
