So a couple of days ago, I got to go into the studio and watch my mentor and the producer, Dave Snyder, add different elements to a couple of songs that they had recorded the previous day. Dave added some tamborine and some slide guitar and came up with some pretty cool riffs for the Hamond. Overall I learned how important being ready and organized as an engineer is. My mentor, who was the one in the drivers seat, already had the tracks setup and ready to record to, everything analog was patched into the digital, and whatever Dave needed, my mentor already anticipated before anybody even got to the studio. It was very intriguing and an awesome learning experience; definetly something that I will be taking with me and using from now forward when ever I am recording something or preparing for a live event.
