Hello, this is the first blog post I have updated in a while. I'd like to give a short reason as to why that is. For the past month I have had a series of unseen events unfold, that have required all of my attention. To make a long story short, I was let go from a previous employer, which led to a long job hunt. During this job hunt, my living arrangments had changed, which led to a lot of time trying to pack and arrange my move. These two matters and other small issues that continued to arise were taking my focus off of Recording Connection lessons, and for that I do apologize. I was not able to sufficiently balance my time. With all that being said, I was wondering if there is another studio where I could continue my lessons out of? The reason being; I haven't heard from Colorado Sound during this whole month of dealing with things. Before my attention was placed on other matters, my lessons at Colorado Sound were going great. I had made it all the way into Lesson 4 and was looking forward to Lesson 5. Before I was able to start Lesson 5, I was told by my mentor Brandon, that he was going to be moving out of state. He told me not to worry because Colorado Sound had other audio engineers that would be able to complete the program with me. Just as everything started happening in my life, Brandon moved, as he said he would. The last time I was in contact with the studio was about a month ago and I spoke with the receptionist, Jenny. She confirmed with me that Brandon had moved and that the studio was going to find another audio engineer for me to work with. She told me that they would be in contact with me within the week so that I may schedule the remainder of my lessons with my new mentor. I never heard from Colorado Sound. I haven't received a call, text, or email in regards to the status of my new mentor. Now the reason it has gone on so long, is because of everything I was dealing with. It just seems odd to me that they haven't reached out at all during this month of absence from me. Almost as if they are not concerned with me. But, that is not the main reason why I am requesting another studio. I am requesting another studio because Colorado Sound is a 45 min drive from where I live. I was wondering if there is any studio closer to the Denver/Aurora area, as I live closer to Denver than Westminster and live in Aurora. It would make things easier for me with this new transition I have made. I do apologize for my absence and I will not let anything like this happen again. I am ready to continue my lessons on becoming an audio engineer. Please get in touch with me as soon as possible!
