The title says it all, so let's catch up. 

I think I've had two lessons and a sit in since I last wrote.

Paul and I spent one afternoon working on a new "country-ish" song. He walked me through tons of plug-ins and how to use them to make every track sound perfect. We used Melodyne for a section of the chorus and we had the hardest time getting everything to fit. When he had to step out for a moment, he told me to give it a try. I was nervous at first, since it was the first time I was left alone at the helm of a project (even if it was only for ten minutes). But, I got it. I figured out the problem and was able to make the vocal sound great! Paul was impressed and very congratulatory. I've learned a lot from him so far. I lucked out getting him for a teacher.

I also sat in with a Detroit based band called "Red Stone Souls". They were a great group of guys with a lot of talent. It was a great experience to sit in and watch the sublte newonses of the recording process that most people wouldn't even realize were apart of an album. They will be back in the studio soon, so I'm looking forward to working with them again.
