So it's been a pretty busy week for me, and I've sort of fallen behind in writing my blog entries. I had a DJ gig over the weekend and have been kind of busy with the holidays but I'd like to talk a little bit about my first 'real' session in the studio. I walked in to the the building and everything was off. James took me through the process of turning on all of the equipment and explained to me the importance of turning the gear on in this order to maintain the working order of it. Next he took me on a much more in-depth tour of the facility. He showed me where cables were hung, stands were placed, microphones and other instruments stored. We finally sat down inside the control room and reviewed the first 3 lessons in the textbook. I'm happy to say that I walked out feeling pretty accomplished that day and I'm pumped up to continue!
Much love,
Tyler
