I feel like the best way for me to learn is to experiment with all the aspect of protools. What I have been doing is recording and editing my own stuff in between sessions at the studio. On top of that my mentor has been really good at getting the tedious stuff off of his chest and giving me an oppertunity to learn for myself at the same time. I have been learning a lot of mixing tecneques that are tedious but effective! That has been a great learning experiance for me. I feel clueless at times but then in the blink of an eye I am suddenly not as clueless as I once was.
