Well, I figure it's about time to write something and assure everyone I'm stll here ;)
If I didn't already mention, I'm not much of a blogger... although I should probably work on that since it's free exposure of thoughts and what not. Anyways, so much covered and learned in this program thus far. A lot mechanics and methods I knew from producing in Fruity Loops and some similar DAWs prior (EQs and etc) and lots a new methods and mechanics (compressors and other plugins specific to ProTools) I never knew how to achieve and am very excited to put into play.
I am somewhat (ok.. maybe really) behind in my studies due to work taking up too much time, and a cancer scare with some health issues. BUT I wanted to take a moment to compliment the school in their helpfulness, patience, and understanding of the circumstances and not adding stress to them. I simply have communicated the predicaments and they were willing to tarry. For that I'm greatful and further feel I'll be able to still achieve my goals in further my education and hopefully soon finding work in the field.
Currently I'm venturing through Chapter 16 and for the first time it seems i'll have to take Sean Evans up on one of those tutorial offers as I cannot seem to figure out how to get my gear all functioning as displayed in the lesson through ProTools. Overall, avidly working around that for now and excited to maybe get some more studio time in with the amazing Ricky Rich and highly experienced team, Matt O'Neil and Ryan Mellow, at Studio713.
Hope everyone is having a successful day!
