Ch. 15 Time-based Effects Posted on 2014-11-18 by Ben Foster

Love this chapter! I use a lot of time-based effects, delays, beat repeats, auto filters, and reverbs in all of my tracks.  It was very cool to read about the echo chambers and what typed of reverb you can create.  Yesterday at the studio was busy work. We helped Rick move a new work table and chairs into the media room.  There were a few late night hip-hop sessions booked, so I met a few new artists like Jay, a female vocalist, who gave me some tips for saxophone gear.  I also re-read the chapter on compression since it is something I think about a lot.  Toward the end of the night, I worked on my mix assignment and talked to Rick about the studio business and how it works in a way that is beneficial for the artists, the producers, the engineers, and the studio.
