Met John at the studio today  at 7, sat in on a session with an artist named thatcher having his song mastered. very interesting session thatcher explained to me how he composed his songs using only a bass guitar but manipulated the sounds and placement of microphones to sound like various different instruments. I was also  introduced into the SSL G series compressor.
