Sit in session with engineer Ryan mellow in studio A. Sat in a session with recording artist Kelley James.

First we mic'd the fender rhodes using a matched pair of neumann u87's and 2 shure 87s. For vocals we set up the sony c-800. we ran through the avalon compressor with minimal compression going into pro tools. First we Direct input Kelley James laptop using native instruments battery software for a custom drum loop, recorded into pro tools. After he recorded vocals drums and fender rhodes, we mic'd up his bass guitar using shure sm57  to the heil fender basement amp. So far this was probably my favorite session and look forward to sitting in more like this.
