What's up world, I go by Jae and I reside in Chicago where I am a student at Miller Street Studios. I'm in Recording Connection's Audio Engineering & Music Producer program. I have studied Music Business at Alabama State University and Audio Arts & Production at Columbia College Chicago. Upon completion, I plan to start my journey as a Professional Music Producer building on my clientele and getting my brand in people’s faces…so I can quit my 9 to 5!

I’ve always knew that I would have a career in music since I was little. When I came back home from Alabama State University I began a not so fruitful rap career, but it’s the effort that counts! My lack of connections is what really held me back. I knew no one and no one knew me. No matter how hard I tried it seemed impossible to “get into the scene”. With no support coming from anywhere I decided to step back for a second to figure things out. Working a 9 to 5 standing on your feet for 8 hours a day in one spot really speeds things up! I’ve always wanted to learn how to make beats and I had a little background in Pro Tools, so I decided I would pursue a career as a Music Producer.

There was just one thing, my lack of knowledge and skill within the profession. I could buy all the gear I needed and try to learn it myself, but who had time for that? I’ve been there and done it before with nothing to show for it! I knew that if I was going to be serious about this, I needed someone to help guide me in the right direction and give me all of the insights to have a successful career, and that’s when I found Recording Connection. I’m learning new things every time I hit the studio and it’s exciting to see what’s next to come! I can’t wait to dive deep and put in all the work so I can achieve my dream and have a successful career in the music industry!
