Brittany Pancake — Indianapolis Recording Connection
Hey everyone!
Well, my name's Brittany for starters... So a little about myself: I'm 19 years old and very excited to get out into the world and try to make a name for myself as a musician. Music has always been a huge part of my life and I think it's the one thing I couldn't live without. I find it inspirational and comforting to know that music will always be part of an ever-changing world.
I became a musician about nine years ago when I started learning to play the Drumset. From there it progressed into other percussion instruments such as the Marimba and Timpani. As the years passed I picked up on a few techniques of world percussion while performing in Honor Bands throughout high school.
After I turned 12 and really got a taste of reading music, I completely wrapped myself up in it. Whether it was just listening to a rock song or an orchestra piece, I would just sit and pick apart rhythms, and melodies and listening to how many different instruments can really make up a piece of music. People used to tell me that music was just organized sound. Hmmm... True. But to me it was more than that. It was a lifestyle. Music can sway people to do things in strange ways. It changes people. My favorite quote is said by Bono of U2; "Music can change the world, because it can change people." I still think this is so true. I'm incredibly excited to start learning more about the technology side of music because a good producer seems to be the backbone of a good artist.
Now you know a little about my story, and myself!
Keep on rockin'
