After my first session with my mentor, it is safe to say I have a lot to process! I have come to realize how much I missed on the physics front, with my homeschooled background, that is. Some real fascinating stuff! If only I had known back then that I'd be pursuing a life as an audio engineer, but you live and you learn, I suppose! (yada yada, "stay in school kids," blah blah blah)
I found a link in one of the comments (occasionally a rather helpful feature) that shined a little more light on the concepts behind the Fletcher-Munson Curve.

So glad this popped up, because the whole thing was making my little bitty brain hurt a bit! Having it put in laman's terms made me realize that I have actually experienced this before, but never knew it had a rhyme nor reason. Same thing with the stereo imaging. I knew it was a thing, I just had no idea how that sound and effect was created until my mentor explained it to me. Super awesomesauce!
Not much else to say, just excited to continue learning! (woo!)
