We are currently in week 6 and I have been working on my Sine wave project where I build some aspects of sound from only a 1 kilohertz sine wave. It was a little tricky to start but t helped me realize how much is possible by creating different sounds like a kick or snare drum just from manipulating this single sine wave. I finished my project up within a week and I also was able to take my midterm exam. I got an A on my midterm in the studio and I have even bigger than that, that’s happened thanks to Nitro Sonic.
I interviewed for an internship last week at Broken Crow Studio, got a call back and was accepted into the position! One of their head engineers used to be the lead engineer at Nitro Sonic a few years back so I was able to relate with him on that. They have a lot going on including their studio work, hand built amplifiers, and a web series they are beginning to shoot for. Their business tactics are very similar to what my friends and I had in mind with GalaxiCollective, that’s why I am so happy to be apart of the team. I would be helping around the studio with any audio set up, running the board during sessions, or anything else needed around the studio. I am very excited for the time to come, they work with big productions and have a great deal of artists, engineers, and producers at their disposal. All of my free time will be spent in studios and I couldn’t be happier about that! I have one of my boys who raps, send me some of his stuff that I can practice mixing, mastering, and just playing around with the track to explore even more.
