     Week 7 here and I’m working on my mix assignment currently, adding to it little by little through the next 4 chapters. We were given 5 different song choices in the e-book, we then picked a song in the genre of our choice and were challenged with mixing that song. So far I’ve got everything organized very nicely and I’ll start adding EQ in the next chapter. The assignment is fine and helps me learn to finalize a song by mixing and mastering. I’ve been working on making quick beats in just one day to challenge myself and get lots of practice in Pro Tools. We also welcomed a new student into the studio this week so we have more hands on deck around the place! Over at Broken Crow this week I've gotten to track for Colton Chapman and a few great Nashville players, including Johnny Reno. I got to set up all the mics for this session and even be in the live room and insolation booths with them to take pictures and videos. It was a great experienc that I will have with me forever, that was my first big production studio session I've truly gotten to be apart of.
