Major: Audio Engineer

I have always wanted to be in the music industry. Until a friend of a friend of mine got signed I didn't think it was possible. But it seems as soon as I made the decision of making this a career everything has just fallen into place, one thing after another. Let me get one thing clear, I am a rapper who wants to one day be in the position of producing and mixing myself. Until that day, I want to be able to know what these industry people are doing with my music. This is why I am learning the skills of an audio engineer.

I found the Recording Connection when I was looking for an alternative to Full Sail. As soon as I saw that the Recording Connection puts the student into an active recording studio and teaches one on one instead of a classroom setting, I was sold. Especially because the more I venture into the Industry, it becomes clearer that most of the time it comes down to who you know. So the connections offered while learning these skills are priceless.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. My mother's family is from New Orleans and the Crescent City has most definatly been a huge influence to my sound. My fathers family lives in Little Rock Arkansas, where I was born and raised. In a place dominated by country music, I am trying to become the voice for hip-hop in my town.

I have always dreamed big in a town full of closed minded people. I understand the road to achieving all these goals and dreams is far from an easy one. I am prepared to go that extra mile to get where I want. Thank you to all the people who told me there is no way I'll make it. They instilled a desire hot as fire in me that has been burning since I first heard a crowd go wild and got goosbumps and I knew that was what I wanted to do. Thank you to the Recording Connection for this opportunity. I will succeed. Follow my journey from unknown to undeniable.

This all seems surreal. I had no idea rapping was the career I was going to persue. All my life I thought I was going to sell real estate! I was on track to doing just that until a friend of a friend of mine was signed to a major label in Nashville... Read More >>
