Week 2 at The Abstract Recording - Posted on 2018-02-09 by Simon Guevara Wells

This week I learned how the staff tracks vocals in the two different rooms of the studio. Which mics, pre-amps and DAWs they use and the vocal techniques they use to enhance the singer's performance. I also had the opportunity to record some electric guitars for a song they were producing over the week, I was very hsppy to know that they wanted me to play on the track. Finally, I helped the staff, dismounting the drumset and mics that they use in a previous session. I'm excited to be part of the workflow of the studio and hoping to get more involved with the projects of the studio and with the staff.
