Today was a pretty exhilarating day. Started off interning for a fellow student named Sam who's in the adv program. Met a great guy who went through the program named Tim who is now a studio drummer and I believe an engineer himself. I just basically helped mic up the drums and watched them track the drums. He was quite funny and I really enjoyed working with him. On top of that he was very helpful. He gave me tips on how you can mic a drum kit just by using one mic. Fast forward to 5pm I came in to intern again this time working with a band called Los Bensons. I've met them prior during other studio sessions, but in this particular session, we were tracking vocals. Whilst doing this, I had a great talk with my mentor Donny, needless to say he changed my perspective 180 degrees, and I'm very eager to continue my career.
