Voltage is the "pressure" or power of the electrons running through the circuit

current is the flow rate

resistance is size of the pipe (all in terms of water)

Circuit made up of transistors, capacitors, diodes, resistors, and inductors. - through these components, signals can be amplified, filtered, etc. - What is filtering a signal in the circuit? How does it work, and what does it affect on the electricity? Sound?

Analog - Series vs. Parallel - Is series circuit typically weaker? Is series the more old fashioned way? Used anymore? Advantages/Disadvantages of both?

The ability to conduct electricity is based on the resistance of the material to the flow of the electrons. Resistance to the flow of electricity causes friction which is energy in the form of heat. - What does this do for sound?

A controlled amount of resistance produces heat that comes from the heater or blow dryer for example.

Electronic circuit is a path for electrons to flow. Voltage is the measure of the amount of electromotive force.

The higher the pressure, the higher the voltage. - How does this affect sound?

Voltage = current times resistance

Current = voltage divided by resistance

Resistance = current divided by voltage

An analog circuit is one that carries a voltage that is either continuous or changing. Analog circuits can be series or parallel. Series circuit - christmas lights - if one light goes out there is no place to carry the voltage further. in a parallel circuit an equal amount of voltage is distributed to the components due to how they are wired.

While analog circuits distributes voltage to components, digital circuits transmit information. -

direct current flows electrons in one direction - batteries, solar panels

Alternating current - electrons flow in both directions and change directions 50 or 60 times per second. - We use AC power

Tracking live vs. overdubbing - what do these mean?  Being personable is very important - remembering people's names  first step is seeing the artist rehearse before recording, take notes such as song names, people, tempo, write suggestions and thoughts... Read More >>
