Pro tools = industry standard

Efficiency, speed

Start using the shortcuts, templates, for example reverb settings

Getting started quickly, having tricks that set you apart will get you the job.

Tracking - clean tones are crucial because there is more to do in mixing. Minimal compression and EQ

Mixing - most crucial stage where everything. Stylistic choices for the sound

Mastering - final process where you minutely shape low end, high end, compression, etc.

In the end result, you have sounds that have been chosen to create an overall portrait you are painting.

Reamping - Taking the output and recording. Captures the natural reverb of the room. When the computer reverbs aren't doing anything for you, Kind of like creating your own reverb - bringing the sound out and creating your own.
