What is a plug-in?
A plug-in is an add on software that provides additional signal processing such as a compressor, limiter, or reverb.
We spend a lot of time on compression because it is a heavily used plugin and it is important to keeping levels under a certain point. A compressor is a device in wich signal gain decreases as imput level increases. This reduction occurs at or above a set point called a threshold.
