Lesson 17: Sync and Automation: Post Production Posted on 2015-05-19 by Jonathan Graham

In this lesson we go over Sync and automation which is  part of the post production process.

We started the lesson by talking about synchronization which is how you lock multiple transports together. This is so everthing can line up together perfectly to stay in sync. One form of automation is when you can make the faders move up and down automatically. This is used after a song is recorded. There are 3 types of modes used on console autimation which are read, write, and draw/rubberband. The last things we talked about were the four kinds of console automation which are voltage controlled automation, moving fader automation, software controlled automation, and midi automation.
