This lesson taught me how to be aware of the different microphones and the placements I need to be aware of as an audio engineer in order to help the talent get the recording that they want. You have to be aware of the traps that can lead to future problems in the recording as well as knowing which microphone and polar patterns you need so you can prevent bleed and feedback.

As an engineer/producer we should be aware of the issues of recording vocals such as the excessive dynamic range, sibilance, and excess bass boost due to proximity effect.
