Chapter 15 Recording Connection Blog Posted on 2015-01-07 by Tanner Bjorklund

Well, it has been a long time since I've been in the program due to finishing high school. However, I've recorded and produced a mass amount of projects regarding the time I've been away from RC. I have self taught myself very much with the use of time-based effects: delays and reverbs, with the large amount of plugins that are offered on ProTools. This chapter was very helpful to show me different ways to approach the use of these plugins while mixing a project. For example using the "write" setting on the bus and muting and unmuting to apply delay only to particular areas of a recording rather than the entire piece. That was cool to learn along with many other little new key pointers such as solo safing, grouping mixing levels together, and so on... All in all, this chapter was very helpful and I can't wait to apply the knowledge I've gained to future projects.
