On the 27th of June I worked with Soundcurrent. We wre hired to record two concerts being held at Carson Newman college in Jefferson City TN. The concerts were given to honor the completion of their summer band camp. For the band a mid side was used and for the piano recitals we used a spaced pair. The mid side was the Nuemann KM83 along with the Sennheiser MKH30 and recorded on a Sound Devices 744T digital recorder. The spaced pair was two Nuemann KM84s and recorded on CD. Later, once back at the studio we opened a session in protools and imported the recordings from that evening. My mentor then showed me a few techniques used to remove background noise. I found the entire evening to be fun and informative and a great experience.
