For me this chapter goes hand in hand with chapter 5. After learning about how different types of microphones work, this chapter taught me about different placements for microphones. A one way to place microphones is "Spaced pair" which is when you place them a angled toward each other but spaced far apart. Another way is "X-Y" which is to point the top of each microphone at each other at a 90 degree angle. A third way of placing your microphonese is "ORTF" which you have the heads placed at a 110 degree angle away from each other. All of these are different ways to place microphones which will be a great way of having a varity of sounds when recording live sessions.
