Starting off, I know it's been a while. School with 2 jobs is something else, haha, but it's moving along. Anyways, this session was one to remember, which is why I can do this blog post so late after the session. I met more industry professionals, and also more people in my position who are learning and aspiring to get in this music business.
Flip seemed pretty stressed, because he had a project to work on, these two artists (who I met in their session with Flip, the first time I met him) gave him some ridiculous deadline to mix/master their whole mixtape, so I could tell he had a lot of work to do, and it just fascinated me to see him doing all this work because I just can't wait to get there, where stress is music related.
We went over chapter 2, and the other things he had me research, like signal flow. Then I met the studio owner, who is also a tattoo shop owner, and his friend(s) who attend Full Sail University down in Florida. I got to network with them, and compare my schooling to his. He says he would have rather done it the way I'm doing it, so shoutout Recording Connection! Ha. Next session is tomorrow, and I'm excited.
