My second week with the Recording Connection was an enormous leap in furthering my education and experience in audio engineering. Part of what my mentor, Ray, does for his job is voice overs for on-hold messages for clients. He allowed me to record him doing takes for a job he had, as well as doing my own voice over session for a client of his (something of which I have never done before). He also gave me the audio file from his session to allow me to begin experimenting with editing in Pro Tools, which I was able to downloand this week. I still don't know much about it, but Pro Tools has some incredible features, and I know I will continue to explore this awesome software. Ray is a wealth of knowledge, and I learned so much in just one lesson. I'm excited for what week 3, as well as those past it, has in store.
