So today we setup 3 mics into the recording room and we had to record different sounds into these mics to test out how good they are. One of the mics was d414 we used a drum to capture the sound. Was not the best mic to use for instruments but it still did the job pretty well. The second mic was able to capture the drum sound a little way better because it was meant for instrumental tracking. Last mic the skinniest one had the best signal for anything you want to do. For example you can record vocals instruments pretty much anything. Dont remember the names but basically that's what we did. Lastly we messed around with the channels on the board increasing the gain changing high, mids, and lows. People might think its intimidating because of all the buttons but it's not really that difficult.
