NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT AUDIO ENGINEERS AND MUSIC PRODUCERS
While New Haven, Connecticut is not a town often associated with the music business, its contribution to music is rich and diverse. Innovative American composer Charles Ives attended Yale here around the turn of the century, and for many years New Haven has been a 'haven' for the jazz music tradition, spawning such talent as jazz pianist Brooks Kerr and bandleader Artie Shaw. New Haven's contribution to music continues today; notable talent to come out of this area in recent memory includes Michael Bolton, Liz Phair and Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls, to name a few.
This page features some of the professional audio engineers and/or music producers who also got their start in New Haven, CT, receiving a state-of-the-art education at Recording Connection Audio Institute.
