In this session we discussed Pro Tools more in depth.  I learned about the function of the playback engine, latency effect and the delay compensation engine as well as the input and output setup.  I also learned about settings preferences for operation, processing, MIDI etc.  We discussed the edit window toolbar, edit mode buttons such as slip and grid, edit tools such as the grabber, scrubber and pencil, the counter, grid/nudge feature and how to import audio into a session.   We talked about the transport window, the extended transport which includes such features as pre/post roll, play and record, the track and clip list as well as the mix window. 5/1
