A square room is the worst possible recording environment. A room with dimensions that are multiples of each other produces horrible echoes that can ruin an otherwise good performance. The live room of a recording studio is built to acoustic perfection, at great monetary expense. Churches provide great natural room reverb owing to the great vaulted celings.
