In chapter three we started to learn about analog and digital audio. We went deep into understanding what digital audio is and how it came about. we spoke in length about how it works and we spoke about Sampling and Quantizing a sound wave. This chapter was quite confusing for me but after going over and over it for some time it started to make sense.We learned about the microphone and it’s function. We also learned about the transformation of sound from analog to digital then from digital to analog for our ears to enjoy. We also discussed the Nyquist theorem which was very complicated as well. At one point during this chapter i was so lost i didn’t even know what we were discussing anymore but at the end it was all worth it. This chapter thought me many things i could never imagine went into the creation of music that we hear today. it was a very nice read and an even better experience trying to understand it.
