lesson 5 we went over then lesson 6 we finished and did the microphone test and all that then lesson 7 we did amplification pretty easy stuff for me since i work with amps and electricty all the time, my mentor said that was the easiest lesson he's ever done with anyone so that was a good thing.
in the studio i engineered a girl she was a really good singer I punched her in, added some cross fades etc. she is puting together an ep for lounge singing so it was a bunch of covers.
Yesterday we had a kid named nicky come in a guitarist, 16 years old. He was great to work with he did guitar and vocals. this is a little more my realm in the music stuff it was like like punk with metal guitar. we ran his guitar direct through the preamp to protools with his digital effects pedal. I engineered the first song it was good. got it done pretty quickly set up the U87 for him to sing consolidated everything and bounced it. it was really good learned some new stuff in the mixing and recording world like consolidation and what it does.stuff like that
