Hello everyone today! Just a brief blog here for today but I wanted to do a few words on songwriting.
I have been very interested in songwriting lately but it is just so hard because I am not efficient with a guitar or a piano for the most part. I'm a drummer at heart but it is very difficult sometimes to write music it feels like it for me. I have what I want in my head but I can't seem to put it down onto the computer. Trust me, don't try to do MIDI with only a mouse and clicking on the notes--It is sheer death! Can't stand it, argh. I will have to invest in a controller. Either way there is a lot of things I'm actually wanting to get, suprise huh? I'm still in the works of making a song but the lack of keys to play on is really putting a halt on my work I feel like it. Sad to say but it is. Currently working on selling a few items of mine in order to pay for something that I'll be able to use for my own work and will be extremely excited when I do so.
Also a quick update on my car since I mentioned it last post of mine. It was the rim that I had messed up due to an accident with a curb, (ouch) but I have ordered a replacement and waiting for that to come in now so let's hope it won't take too long! Thankfully my girlfriend has offered to help me out with rides when I need them for work so I'm very appreciative of that and will definitely help throw some gas money her way just because no one else seems to and hey, it's a nice thing to do you know?
Another thing here that has come to my attention is a YouTube channel. Yes, my studio has a YouTube channel and it has one song on it and it is a cover that I did a while back and it is lacking video which is kind of getting on my nerves honestly because I want to incorporate both. While sitting with some friends last Thursday I had an idea. We were discussing several different topics with those that had different views as our own and I had the idea, "Why not create a channel where there are different types of people coming together and sharing their views on different things?" Which is a totally different idea than that of an music channel but I think I would like to mix both with what I will be doing with my YouTube channel from here on. I will be creating music that will have audio and video intertwined in it as well as podcast videos. I find it interesting either way. I also will be posting recordings of those who I will be recording in the future on my channel to help promote their own music as well so it's not just my own work that will be posted.
